Hello! My name is Laura G. I was raised in multiple states in the Midwest, and currently live in the Black Hills of South Dakota. When I was in elementary school I went to a private Catholic school, but I have also attended a hybrid school, public school, and graduated through the online school ‘Mother of Divine Grace.’ I am blessed to have been brought up Catholic in a family of 12 kids.

While moving for the first time, I lost my faith. The world my peers showed me didn’t need a God, and definitely didn’t want to be judged by one. Even though I struggled with my faith, I have always desired to be a missionary and would dream up ways I would heal the world’s pains.

Since regaining my faith in the Lord, I have felt the call to be a missionary in a more perfect and beautiful way. Con-solatio’s mission calls my heart because I know that it will humble me. It is not me who will heal the world’s pains, as I once thought, but God through me and the wonderful community in Brazil.
