Hello! My name is Megan, I’m 22 years old, and I graduated from Carroll College in December 2021. I’m the oldest of nine children, and my family currently lives in The Dalles, OR, but I had the wonderful experience of growing up as a military brat—moving from state to state every few years and getting to meet new people and see new places. Basically, I have been immensely blessed throughout my life, and I discerned that God was calling me to do something with those blessings: to share them with others in the form of missionary work in another country.

Through discernment, God led me to Con-solatio. I have a particular devotion to both the Blessed Virgin Mary and to St Joseph, for many reasons not the least of which is this same simplicity of their actions: they said yes to God. Mary said yes and thus our Lord was born! St Joseph said yes to God when He told him to take Mary into his home and then to flee to Egypt. The simplicity of Con-solatio’s mission, to serve by being present and bringing God’s love to others, as well as the steadfast foundation in prayer and the Sacraments, resonated with the desires of my heart, and so I said yes!

I will serve in Chennai, India, for 18 months beginning in August. I am excited to meet my future friends in India and to grow in love and faith with all the graces God will bring. Please consider supporting my mission spiritually or financially; I cannot wait to share it with you!
