Hello! My name is Michelle and I’m from Denver, Colorado and I am beyond excited to serve as a missionary in Deva, Romania for the next 14 months. I graduated from the University of Colorado in Boulder, CO in 2021 with a degree in Accounting and Marketing. Over the past year I have been working as an auditor at a public accounting firm. Over the years, I have been blessed to serve on mission trips and to volunteer with different organizations. Whenever I would serve, I felt a deeper call on my heart to give the Lord more of myself. This call became very evident to me when I went to serve alongside the Missionaries of Charity in Kolkata, India. It really was in Kolkata where the verse “Whatever you did for the least of my brothers, you did to me” became so clear. Not only was I loving the poor and the forgotten, but I was loving Jesus himself through them. And since then, I have felt this pull on my heart to serve the Lord in a very radical way.

I’ve been so grateful to be able to work this past year, but there was still a burning desire in my heart to serve the Lord and the suffering. I deeply desired to give a year or two of my life as a missionary and to serve the poor. Through discernment and the gift of Google, the Lord led me to the Con-solatio website. When going through the site and learning more about the mission after my visit in Brooklyn, my heart finally felt at peace. This was where the Lord was calling me to serve.

As a missionary, my greatest desire is to be a vessel of the Lord’s goodness and love. I know that this is all a gift from God and that in my weakness I cannot love the lonely without Him and without the help of others. I’m beyond excited to invite others into this beautiful mission, whether by financial or spiritual support.
