Hello! My name is Lucia B, and I recently committed to 14 months of mission work in Costa Rica! I’m from Manassas, Virginia. I’m nineteen years old and graduated from high school this past spring. I currently work as a certified swim instructor for my local community center. 

I have always been drawn to those who are lonely and troubled, wanting to make them feel loved. When I visited Con-solatio’s house in New York, I was struck by their peace and joy, and their selfless, genuine love for the lonely and neglected in the community. The mission touched me in a way I’ve never experienced.

God has blessed me with the opportunity to love and serve him and his beloved people in Costa Rica as a missionary! Relying on God’s providence, I will join my fellow missionaries to serve as humble additions to a poor neighborhood in San Jose, spending time with the families, elderly and homeless of the community. Our home will serve as a refuge for those seeking compassion and friendship. 

This is a path I can’t walk alone. I humbly ask that you prayerfully consider supporting me either financially, spiritually or both. I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. The Lord has an amazing journey in store, and I can’t wait to share it with you!
