2026 Con-solatio Benefit Night: A Mission at Work in the World

Last Thursday night, I had the honor of attending the annual Con-solatio awards dinner and I had a wonderful time. Not only was the food wonderful and the entertainment enjoyable, but the people I met and the conversations I had were a wonderful testament to the great work that Con-solatio provides to our world. I think what most impressed me about the evening were all the stories I heard. In each story, in each witness, the true mission of Con-solatio was revealed: that everyone in this wonderful organization brings the love of Christ to the lonely, to the forgotten and to the suffering. And in that humble service, the missionaries of Con-solatio help build the Kingdom of God in our broken world. I was most impressed by the short video that was shown where different lay missionaries, from different parts of the world, express the same love and joy of serving the poor and the needy. This witness of God’s love was very inspirational as I saw Jesus’ mission at work in the world.
