Family Reunion 2026 in Houston: Coming Home
By Gabriel M., missionary in Argentina 2018-2019
This year’s family reunion was such a gift. There is something deeply comforting about being surrounded by people who share the same desire to live a life rooted in this mission and share similar experiences. From moments of laughter and conversation to prayer and sharing in the sacraments together, the entire weekend felt peaceful, refreshing, and full of grace. The beauty of the countryside only added to the sense of rest and renewal that came from being in community again. What always stands out to me after gatherings like this is how quickly it feels like coming home. Even after time apart, there is an immediate sense of familiarity and understanding among former missionaries that is hard to describe. Being together again reminded me how impactful those years of mission were and how those bonds continue to shape our lives long after the mission itself has ended. I left the weekend feeling grateful, encouraged, and reminded that the Con-solatio family is something truly special.
