A Visit to Con-solatio

There is something so simple yet radical about Con-solatio’s mission. Reaching out to people who others have neglected to love in the ways that they should is so radical in the simplistic way. It takes Jesus’ heart to love someone exactly where they are. Meeting Maria and Rosa during my day with the Brooklyn community showed me that a mother’s love is unconditional. Their love for their children resembled Mary’s love at the foot of the Cross. We can learn a lot from the people within our own communities; reaching out to the people in front of us is worthwhile!
