SEEK 2025

By Sofia S. – Testimonial Coordinator

This past week, four fellow ex-volunteers and I were blessed to attend the SEEK 2025 conference in Salt Lake City, Utah. Together, we represented Con-solatio at a booth amidst over 40 other organizations, sharing our mission with more than 20,000 college students.

Each day, we entrusted our efforts to prayer. We began with Mass, spent time in adoration, and even prayed the Liturgy of the Hours right at our booth, inviting others to participate.

Our mission is one that is simple and grand at the same time. At our booth, we offered hibiscus tea, played “Card vs. Gravity” and “Tiki Toss,” and set up cozy spaces with floor pillows and a hammock where people could rest, and feel at home. As the days unfolded, our booth transformed into something more—a mission house.

Every day, we welcomed countless visitors. Some stopped by for a quick hello, others were captivated by our mission and stayed to learn more, and many lingered for rest, friendship, and meaningful conversations. By the final day, our booth overflowed with familiar faces—people we had met earlier in the week who kept coming back to say hi. That last afternoon was filled with laughter, games, tea, and heartfelt chats as we welcomed everyone who wandered in.

It became a place of true communion.

We also experienced the fruits of missions past. People came looking for Kristine, Selen, Tim, and others they had met at previous SEEK conferences, a testament to the lasting impression our mission leaves.

This week was a beautiful reminder of the purpose and power of our mission: a mission rooted in hospitality, simplicity, and gratuitousness that fosters connection and communion. What better way to share our mission and invite others into it by living it right there in Mission Way!

Thank you for your prayers and generosity. Please continue to pray for the young people of our world, for those who attended SEEK, and for more missionaries to experience this beautiful mission of presence and compassion.
