Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving we were blessed to welcome around 40 friends to celebrate with us at our home. Some were friends that we have known for years, and some were new faces to whom God has led us recently. Everyone was glad to celebrate together rather than to spend such a day alone. Through the many donations of food from generous friends, God’s providence supported our preparations and pointed us to the true meaning of the day. The cooking team impressed the crowd by preparing four turkeys without any hiccups! Between the courses, we had a time for games and entertainment to help break the ice between all our different guests. Joy and laughter reigned! As Thanksgiving drew to a close, songs of gratitude brought us together in the spirit of the day: “Gracias a la vida” and “Amazing Grace.” It was moving to see everyone head home with joy in their hearts and beautiful smiles on their faces.
